tomato & basil pasta sauce

gluten-free, vegan


  • 3-4 vine tomatoes
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 2 fresh garlic cloves
  • 1/2 cup fresh basil
  • 1/4 cup condensed coconut milk
  • 2 tbsp avocado oil or extra virgin olive oil
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes for spice (optional)



  1. slightly cook tomatoes on stove in oil.
  2. let it cool down. 
  3. put cooked tomatoes into food processor or blender and add garlic, onion powder, sat, pepper, and basil.
  4. add cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes for spice.
  5. blend components together.
  6. add sauce to saucepan and add coconut milk then stir.
  7. enjoy!
